The meeting was called to order at 7:08pm. Attending were Bill and Cindy Cawthra, Jim and Karen Bowman, Geraldine Edwards, Margaret Smith, Bob Tuttle, Amanda Tuttle, Harold Perkins, Spencer Parker, Shirley Griffith, and Daisy Jensen.
Cindy thanked Jim for installing the new fire extinguishers, and she thanked everyone who helped with last month’s fish fry.
The minutes for last month’s meeting were read by Bob Tuttle, and Margaret Smith read the treasurer’s report. The club account contains $15,313.65, and the light fund contains $859.32. Jim Bowman made a motion to accept the minutes and treasurer’s report. The motion was seconded by Bob Tuttle. The motion carried.
Old Business:
Cindy Cawthra checked on the memorials for Phyllis Gardner and Donna Perkins. It was decided to donate a book to the Dundy County Library for each (Phyllis Gardner and Donna Perkins). The books will cost between $15-$30 each. Bill Cawthra made a motion to accept this decision, and Margaret Smith seconded. The motion carried.
New heaters for the clubhouse were discussed, either as replacements for the existing heaters, or in addition to the existing heaters. Harold Perkins passed around a brochure for Eden Pure heaters, and these were discussed. As the cold weather is almost over and spring and summer are almost here, the discussion was tabled until a future meeting.
The Memorial Brunch/Alumni Brunch was also discussed, and is scheduled to happen on May 28, 2011 at 10:00am.
The Community Clean Up day was discussed. It was decided that we will meet at 8:30am at the club house and coordinate from there. The ladies will provide lunch for the workers. Fliers have been printed and placed at the post office, the community bulletin board, and two at the club house.
Bill Cawthra brought up a problem with the picnic table sitting on loose rock. Having a concrete slab poured to place the picnic table on was discussed. Jim Bowman made a motion to have the concrete slab poured. Geraldine Edwards seconded the motion. The motion carried.
The community flea market was discussed. The discussion was tabled until a later meeting.
A committee was formed consisting of Jim Bowman, Bill Cawthra, and Spenser Parker to look into replacing the doors on the church, and installing storm windows on the church.
The meeting adjourned at 8:01pm
