Marvin C. Rundhaug was born September 18, 1930 in Sweet Home, Oregon to Carl B. Rundhaug and Adeline M. (LaPardy) Rundhaug. Marvin was an active outdoors type of man who had previously worked as a lumberjack in Oregon and also as an equipment operator for Adams Construction.
Marvin became a widower when his first wife Grace passed away. He found a new love, however, and on July 19, 1995, he was united in marriage to Dorothy Ann Kelly in Wakeeney, Kansas.
Marvin passed away in Benkelman, Nebraska at the Sarah Ann Hester Memorial Home on April 28, 2006 – five months shy of his 76th birthday.
At the time of his passing, Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife – Grace, and a brother, Darell.
He was survived by his wife, Dorothy Ann Rundhaug (of Max); a sister, Dorothy Yagel (of Jefferson, Oregon); a step-daughter, Deb Warning (and husband, Delbert, of Kansas); three grandchildren; one step-grandson; and three great-grand children.
Dorothy Ann (Kelly) Rundhaug (“Annie”) was born July 24, 1948. She passed away at the Sarah Ann Hester Memorial Home in Benkelman, Nebraska on May 23, 2012, after a long battle with cancer.
Annie is fondly remembered by her many friends in Max. She always had a kind word and a warm smile for all that she met. In spite of the obvious pain she was suffering due to the many treatments she endured, Annie always took time to visit with her friends, and always had a kind and sincere about her. She will be missed by many for a long time to come.
At the time of her passing, Annie was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin. She was survived by a daughter, Deb Warning (of Kansas), four grandchildren, three great-grand children, and her brother, Steve Kelly (of Max).
